PM 10

THE LIGHT 10 daN DYNAMIC PENETROMETER

Pénétromètre PM10

The purpose of the dynamic penetration ground test is to measure the strength of layers crossed by a probe, eliminating the lateral friction. This test is very important in practice, since it rapidly gives a precise idea of the strength of grounds in their natural state.

The light 10 daN dynamic penetrometer provides an easy way of determining ground dynamic breaking strength in the various layers crossed.

Thee depth of penetration can be up to 10 metres depending, of course, on the nature of the ground.

Because of its design, this instrument is easily transported on sites that vehicles cannot access due to their weitht and risk of accidents.

USE :

To carry out a ground dynamic penetration test, it is practical to proceed by identical depth sections.

With the instrument vertical, drop the 10 daN pile-driver from a constant height, counting for each section the number of drops required.

By inputting this data in the so-called " Dutch " formula, the dynamic break resistance of the ground crossed can
be determined.
