IMPRO 2

- Signal analysis for pile integrity control by the
impedance and reflection methods.
- Signal analysis and 2 - and 3 - dimensional mapping
for the detection of voids under pavements or behind voussoirs.
The measurement values logged by means of a MIMP
16 are exported to a PC fitted with WINDOWS 95 in order to
analyze signals and edit a report (this is also compatible
with the signals issued by the MIMP 15).
The IMPRO2 software is the best performing of all softwares
meant to analyze signals in order to measure the pile integrity.

IMPRO2 however remains very easy to use and it allows to
treat data and print results very rapidly.
The treatment naturally processes through a series of stages
achieved in a logical order.
Each stage of the treatment is called by an icon.

Treating a pile only takes a few minutes :
- Creating a site.
- Entering the informations.
- Controlling the force and speed signals.
- Adjusting the scales in reference to the consistency function
and the force spectra.
- Measuring the length of a pile and its stiffness by its
mobiliy signals.
- Measuring the length of a pile by its impulse response.
- Measuring the length of a pile by recording its reflection
characteristics and building up its profile.
- Visualizing a table synthesizing the results.
- Visualizing the documents bound to include into the report.
- Printing the report or the study of the following pile.
In the screen beside,
the user has positioned three markers on maxima of the
mobility curve (F/V).
The pile length and the frequency differences are displayed
automatically.
The value of the characteristic impedance of the pile
(Yc) is also displayed.
The MIMP 16 allows to acquire signals from several hammer
strokes on the same pile. This is why the curves are displayed
in a superimposed way.
The red curve is the average mobility.
|
 |
From the pulse response,
the user can also determine the pile length, by moving
the cursor along the echo of the pile bottom :
The length then gets displayed.
An adjustable exponential amplification can help make
the echo more visible.
|
 |
| IMPRO2 allows to plot
the reflectogramme as well and to re-build the pile impedance
profile if the characteristics of the ground are known.
In the same way as in the previous examples, the user
can determine the length of the foundation by moving
a cursor. He positions it to the base of the impedance
profile or at the good position on the reflectogramme.
On the impedance profile shown beside, a slight shrinkage
of the profile can be observed at a depth of 4 metres.
|
 |
Among the great advantages of IMPRO2 is the quality and rigor
of the documents it isues :
- Representing the frequency analysis (mobility).
- Representing the time analysis (velocity).
- Representing the impedance profile.
- Marking the quality of the signals.
- Tolérances.
- Elevation (depth) values of the pile.
- Synthesis of the results.
| A table that puts all
the piles of a site together is automatically edited in
order to produce a synthesis of the results.
The logo on the printed documents is a
Bitmap file. It can therefore be replaced by the logo
of the users company.
|
 |
| The user is always offered
the choice to print each document under the following
forms :
- One by one, or for all of the results of a site ;
- In colours, or in black and white ;
- In French, in English, and in Spanish
(other alphabetical languages upon request)
|
 |
Each report, as well as
the data attached can be saved and archived.

Void detector
IMPRO2 does not just control piles. It also allows to
detect the voids under pavements, voussoirs or facade tiles.
The signals logged by means of the specific void detection
software of the MIMP 16 are transferred directly to a PC.
The usual void detection criterion is the Mobility x Suppleness
product (Suppleness = 1/Stiffness).

But IMPRO2 also proposes three other analyses, which can
be represented under the form of 2 - or 3 - dimensional mappings.
- Mobility.
- Suppleness.
- Quality of the impacts.
2 - and 3 - dimensional mapping functions allow to highlight
the areas to treat.
 |
 |
The 3 - dimensional plot brings some added value to your
report without any extra work, for the functions are built-in
the IMPRO2 software.
IMPRO2 can be installed on any computer working under WINDOWS
95 or WINDOWS NT.
Minimum equipment : 486 DX 4x100, 8 Mbytes RAM.
IMPRO2 is available in English, French, and spanish (any other
alphabetical language upon request).
IMPRO2 supplied along with a very clear users manual
in French, in English and in spanish.
No specific training is required to use the interface of the
software, but a training about the theory of impulse methods
can be delivered by the CEBTP
