MEASURING
THE SPEED OF SOUND IN DIFFERENT MATERIALS
The
CEBTP has improved new equipment for measuring the
speed of sound in different materials.
There is nothing on the market equal to the AU 2000
in terms of precision and ease of use. The signal
is displayed as it immerges from the material, propagation
time is calculated, the signal arrival point is displayed,
and data is stored.
The AU 2000 conforms completely with the P 18 - 418
sonic auscultation standard
APPLICATIONS
:
- Measuring the speed of sound in building materials such as concrete, masonry, stone, wood...
- Determinig the quality of materials by heterogeneous investigation, for pockets, cracks.
- Localizing areas that have suffered external damage: concrete attacked by frost or fire.
| |
| The AU 2000 is the only one equipment allowing to show the signal and the position of the delay cursor |
CHARACTERISTICS
:
- In compliance with electrical standards concerning portable measuring equipments
- In compliance with the EC standard
- In compliance with the P 18 - 418 sonic auscultation standard
- 0,1 µs resolution ( Class 0.1 equipment)
- Dimensions : 290 mm x 200 mm, height : 55 mm
- Weight : 2.9 Kg
- IP 52 watertightness
- Received signal display, with overrideable automatic and manual signal measurement
- LCD screen using Transflective technology ( perfect display even in broad daylight)
- Internal battery with seven hours autonomy
- High transmission power with capacity to measure thicknesses of concrete over five meters.
- Data storage with possibility of transfer to an office PC in ASCII format
THE
AU 2000 IS DELIVERED COMPLETE AND READY FOR USE WITH
THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT
:
- One AU 2000 unit with data input software
- One emitter sensor with five meters cable
- One receiver sensor with five meters cable
- One battery charger and mains power supply
- One reference sample glass
- One tube of grease
- One data transfer cable
- One data transfer software
- One user's manual in English
- One case to carry and protect the whole equipment
Transparent

|
| The
emitter and receiver are applied on the
opposite faces of the element to be measured. |
|
|
The emitter and receiver are applied on
the same plane face of the element to
be measured. |
|
DATA TRANSFER :
 |
The
AUGETDATA © data transfer software allows to
protect very easily measures on a desktop computer.
There data are exported in ASCII format.
They can therefore be open en Excel © software. |
