Inclinometry.
Classical inclinometers are costly and supply punctual
rotation due to local deformation or support instability
that does not reflect the movement of the assembly.
The IP160, on the other hand, measures a precise horizontal
relative displacement between two anchor points. Its
price allows chains of inclinometers to be used in order
to reconstruct the general deformation profile.
Description
The IP160 inclinometer is a high performance pendulum
inclinometer.
It is presented as a square-section tube (50 x50 mm),
length 1.92 m.
This inclinometer uses a damped pendulum system whose
de position is measured by capacitive sensors.
The measurement procedure renders the results independent
of shifts in the electronics
SETTING UP on an elevated structure.
The pendulum is fastened to the structure at two points
corresponding to the pendular length. It must be placed
vertically to have a measurement range of + or -1 cm.
It is waterproof and can be used outside.
